When you choose to change narratives, you lead and not only talk about it. Sometimes as a Trust, we work through others, be it organisations, groups or individuals because the need is great and we need each other to change, narratives.
1) Chigodora Youth Empowerment
We were proud to be supporting an initiative that is laying a foundation for an inclusive network of young entreprenuers in Chigodora, Mutare, Zimbabwe.
2) Women Empowerment Forum ( start-up grind) Johannesburg, South Africa
Digital technology has proven to be a platform for women to have their say and re-claim the narratives , with instant mobilization and support that would have otherwise taken months, perhaps years in the offline world.
We are happy to have learnt and put our input towards women empowerment in line with ICT( Information and Communication Technology).
3) Launching of (section 56) of Zimbabwe’s Constitution in Marondera, Zimbabwe.
We partnered with the Ministry of women and youth affairs, Women Coalition, Padare, Correctional services Marondera and Jekesa Pfungwa Trust in launching section 56 of the constitution which speaks of Equality and non- gender discrimination.
We were simply saying that:
-We want those with disabilities to be able to make decisions.
-We want more women empowered.
-We want more women involved in leadership.
-We want maternal services improved.
-We want equality and non gender discrimination.
4)Youth Empowerment Programme #YEP2017, a life changing programme sponsored by CBZ Holdings and Empowered life Trust. A total number of 20 Wakati Trust beneficiaries were part of this initiative in Manicaland.
